  MISSION STATEMENT

The Mission of the Lamplighter Barbershop Chorus is:

 

"To be a singing fraternity, dedicated to having fun while singing, entertaining, and serving the community."

 

The general long-term purposes of the Lamplighter Barbershop Chorus are:

  • To recruit men for membership who are interested in singing as a hobby;
  • To provide members with a weekly singing session for learning a broad repertoire of barbershop-style songs for use in community service and fund raising activities such as sing-outs, choral performances, annual concerts, and periodic participation is Society choral competitions;
  • To improve the quality of the chapter's choral sound;
  • To provide members with a variety of weekly quarteting activities;
  • To encourage members to form quartets and participate in chapter performance events and area contests;
  • To seek opportunities to attract local secondary school young people to barbershop-style music.
